You Have To Sacrifice To Better Yourself.
If you don't sacrifice for what you want, what you want becomes the sacrifice. If that's not the truth you can slaaaap me!! First things first, its hard to better yourself. When you make the decision to better yourself you first acknowledge that there are things you have been doing that are beneath you or not helping you get to your goal. Also everyone will not be onboard when you decide to do better; Why because it puts the pressure on them to do the same or risk being left behind.
You have to stay focused and value yourself a little bit more in this time. You might have to walk alone for a season and/or breakup with loved ones if they are not aiding to your vision.
If you are not willing to sacrifice some of these things that are in your way to greatness than you will have to sacrifice your greatness to stay true to these things.
Make up your mind and again stay focused on what you know you need to do. Please don't make the mistake of looking at what other people have going on and measuring yourself by what they are doing. We are not all created to do the same things and our visions and purposes are different. If the people in your circle are not motivating you to do better than keep your eyes on your own goals. I know it's sometimes hard to do if you are into social media but there will be people that you need to unfollow. Not because you two have a problem but because you don't want to be distracted in what God is doing for you in your life.
To many times success becomes a competition between our peers when in fact there is enough success to go around. When you focus on bettering yourself God gives you your purpose and your vision and the confidence to pursue this vision with no lack.
Philippians 3:15-17 So let's keep focused on that goal, those of us who want everything God has for us. if any of you have something else in mind, something less than total commitment, God will clear your blurred vision- you'll see it yet! 16. Now that we're on the right track, let's stay on it. 17 Stick with me, friends. Keep track of those you see running this same course, headed for this same goal.
Trust God through your process of transformation and stay focused and live in the present.
