Strength for the Weary

Let me first say Congratulations for making it into the New Year of 2018 with a fresh mindset determined to make a change in your life for the best. It's a great accomplishment when you can see the need for a change and also implement the change by taking action. That says a lot about you and your character.

It's almost two (2) weeks into the New Year and now the excitement is starting to wear down and you're wondering can I really do what I said I was going to do? Can I stay consistent enough to actually make a change in my life? No one is really there for me like they were when I didn't have goals and plans for my life, can I do this alone?

The answer to all of these questions are YES !! YES you can and will do everything you said you will do and more. Yes, you will be consistent in whatever it is that brings you one step closer to your goals. Yes, you will make it by yourself, just stay motivated and find some people who are just as enthused about accomplishing goals as you are. Like I said in my former blog, you will not always have the comfort of your friends and loved ones by your side cheering you on, there are some things you have to do simply because you made up in your mind that now is the time for a change. You no longer want to hold yourself up on the blessings God has for you simply because you gave up too soon listening to these negative inner thoughts.

When you're feeling weary remember:

Isaiah 40:29-31 29 He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might He increases strength. 30 Even the youth shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall, 31 but those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint.

Trust God no matter what and remember you're never alone. You're not the first person to feel like this. In fact every new level of success comes with a new level of learning and uncomfortable circumstances. That's how you grow. Once you condition your mind to the fact that it will never be easy than you can build up your endurance for the things to come knowing that God's word says: Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you." Deuteronomy 31:6

I hope this encourages you to Trust God just a little bit more because he has you covered and will give you the strength you need if you wait and trust in Him.

Keep Going you got this. Make this a year to remember !!
