Stop Fighting The Preparation !!

Today I was getting my almost 2 year old daughter dressed because she wanted to go outside and play. We both looked in her side of the closet and picked out a cute outfit and her sneakers, she was happy to know that I was preparing her to go outside. I gathered my clothes as well and set them aside while I began to get my daughter dressed. While taking her pajamas off she began to start screaming and crying because she didn’t understand why she was taking clothes off if she was preparing to go outside. In the middle of me changing her she reached over and put on her jacket that I had laying next to her. She put it on backwards and over her onsie before I had a chance to put her shirt on so when I went to take her coat off she really lost it, because to her, it was like me saying with my actions that we are not going outside. She cried and cried and while she cried I got her dressed the proper way and then she eventually stopped crying when she seen me finally putting on her sneakers and jacket.
While I was watching my daughter cry during preparation of going where she wanted to go the Lord brought it to my attention that’s how we sometimes act. We ask God for guidance and a special request and then when He begins to shape and position us for the very things we’ve been requesting we start to cry and get frustrated because what God is doing in our life doesn’t look like the request we asked for.
I want to encourage you today to stop fighting the preparation. When you ask God to do a thing have faith that he hears you and will honor your request. What you are going through is just preparation so that you can handle the very thing you asked God for. When God provides a thing for you it is to last. So He needs to get you into shape so that you can handle what is to be given.
Like my daughter putting on her jacket backwards and out of order; Many times we ask God for things and when we see them not being manifested fast enough we begin to do things out of order in an attempt to speed up the process because our current situation or condition says we need it now or because we are just too impatient to wait and see what God is doing for us. Sometimes we need to be reminded that God says in Isaiah 55:8-9
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.
9 “For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts.
Trust the process and embrace the preparation. Our thoughts and ideas can’t compare to what God has in store for us. Continue to be obedient to the word of God and let Him transform you into who you were called to be.
It’s To Your Success !!
